The General Manager of Pilbara Airlines, Mr Ed Turner, announced the appointment of Mr Barry Maunder as the airlines Chief Airworthiness Manager. Mr Maunder will take up this position in 2020, following his relocation to Perth.
Mr Maunder has over 50 years of experience in the aviation industry as Airworthiness, Maintenance Control Manager, General Manager, and Maintenance Line Manager.
Mr Maunder spent 28 years in Australia, working with major Australian airlines including East West, Ansett and Compass Airlines in engineering positions.
In 1993, he relocated to Singapore and worked with Vietnam Airlines and Royal Brunei in Line and Base Maintenance Management positions.
From 2001 to 2010, he worked with the Cathay Pacific Group as a Line Maintenance Operations Manager.
Mr Maunder was appointed General Manager of AMSA Pty Ltd Australia from 2010 until 2013, managing over 150 maintenance staff throughout Australia providing line maintenance services to major international airlines.
Mr Maunder is currently an IOSA auditor conducting audits in the MNT/CGO disciplines in the Asian region of major international airline operators.
